How do you share your scientific results and ideas with others?

The Microbiology Achievement through Research and Valuable Experiential Learning (MARVEL) workshop, organized by the Microbiology program, focuses on how you can share your science discoveries to an audience who may include specialists in the field, those from other disciplines, industry, or the general public. Participants will learn about the importance of science communication in society, the different ways science is communicated from formal presentations to science slams, and work in small groups on activities aimed at tailoring scientific messages to specific audiences.

This workshop brings together students and faculty to help you explore and develop your communication skills with discussion and activities.

Register by Oct. 3 on the program's website.
