Research Interests

My project aims to elucidate small RNA-mediated gene silencing mechanisms in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. The initial goal is the identification of Argonaute-associated small RNAs and their target transcripts to understand the function of small RNAs in algal biological processes. The second goal is the characterization of CCR4-like defective mutant to understand sRNA-mediated translation repression mechanisms.
