The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln offers graduate programs in Biology (Master of Science and Doctoral degree). The graduate program in SBS is designed to prepare students for careers in research and teaching. The SBS graduate program has three specializations:

We also offer an interdisciplinary specialization for Interdisciplinary Bioinformatics. This specialization is available for all our graduate students (both MS and PhD). For details, please refer to the Bioinformatics specialization website.

The Specializations represent formally approved groups of budgeted faculty, adjunct, courtesy faculty, and graduate students who share common research interests.

Our school is dedicated to excellence in biological sciences research, teaching, and training. We train approximately 90 graduate students at any given time and take pride in launching our trainees into successful and productive careers ranging from biomedical researchers in industry, to post-doctoral faculty members at other institution.
