Want a dose of tropical adventure while learning cutting edge science?  Want to connect with a network of world-class researchers and educators in tropical biology?  The Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS) study abroad program for UNL undergraduates and graduate students offers all that and more.  OTS is the world’s leading institution in the study of tropical biology and conservation, providing life-changing experiences in education, outreach, and research in the tropics.  OTS offers intensive field courses for undergraduate and graduate students in tropical biology and related fields in Costa Rica and South Africa. In addition to the diversity of wildlife and ecosystems, OTS courses expose you to a diversity of people and perspectives.

Applications for OTS courses and summer research experiences are rapidly approaching their 2018 deadlines!  UNL students receive priority admission to OTS programs, discounted tuition, and access to OTS scholarships.  Contact Dr. Sabrina Russo (srusso2@unl.edu) if you have questions about OTS programs.  Contact UNL Education Abroad (https://educationabroad.unl.edu/) to apply and for additional scholarship opportunities.  See https://tropicalstudies.org/education/ and below for details on OTS education and research opportunities.
