Are you a UNL sophomore interested in a research career in the biomedical sciences? Apply to be an INBRE scholar and participate in an NIH-Funded Summer Research Program at UNL, UNMC, or Creighton University.

Eligibility

  1. Career interest in biomedical research -- The program is not recruiting students whose primary interest is pursuing a professional medical degree (for example, an MD degree)
  2. Sophomore standing (so a student will not graduate for two years so that they can participate for two summers in research experiences)

Benefits

  • Two full years (including summers) of scholarship funding
  • Year 1 - $4,000+ housing for summer; $3,000 for academic year
  • Year 2 - $4,500 + housing for summer; $3,000 for academic year
  • Research experience in Omaha or Lincoln in the first summer and opportunity to continue projects through graduation
  • Support for Graduate School in Nebraska
