Are you a UNL student interested in a research career in the biomedical sciences? Apply to be an INBRE scholar and participate in an NIH-Funded Summer Research Program at UNL, UNMC, or Creighton University.

Eligibility

  1. Career interest in biomedical research -- The program is not recruiting students whose primary interest is pursuing a professional medical degree (for example, a medical degree)
  2. Intention to remain at UNL for the duration of the two year program (i.e., current sophomores on a four-year degree plan or current juniors on a five-year degree plan).

Benefits

  • Two full years (including summers) of research funding
  • Year 1 - $4,000 + housing for summer; $3,000 for academic year
  • Year 2 - $4,500 + housing for summer; $3,000 for academic year
  • Research experience in Omaha or Lincoln in the first summer and opportunity to continue projects through graduation

  1. Submit an INBRE Application in pdf format
  2. Statement of research interest and career goals
  3. One Letter of Support (references need to email Dr. Couch directly)
