Claire Husen is a second-year biological sciences major on the pre-optometry track. This summer, she has been working as an optometric technician at a private practice. In this role, she supports the optometrists on staff and works to ensure a smooth patient experience. She also performs preliminary tests, helps with examinations, and maintains clinical records. This experience has allowed Claire to see what her future career field is like firsthand, teaching her about how a to run a practice and care for patients.
