  1. ASK-BIO (Advancing Assessment Skills in Biology) Regional Workshop. Lead Facilitator. August 12, 2021, Johnson County Community College, Kansas City, MO.
  2. NABT Community Conversations: The Introductory Biology Experience (IBEx) Webinar Series. August 5-7th, 2020. Organized and moderated an online webinar series and discussion for approximately 90 introductory biology instructors that addressed inclusive teaching strategies, educational technology, and teaching science practices during the pandemic. Moderated three sessions and gave one presentation.
  3. IBEx Teacher-Leader/Regional Leader Training. December 2-5, 2019, Denver, CO. Sponsored by NSF and the NABT. Lead and organized a small train-the-trainer event for 15 IBEx regional leaders to host six separate regional workshops for introductory biology.
  4. Advancing the Introductory Biology Experience: a conference to develop a unified vision for undergraduate introductory biology. August 7-9th 2019, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Chevy Chase MD. Sponsored by NSF, the NABT, and space provided in kind by HHMI. Lead and organized a faculty development summit and conference for approximately 60 participants around the introductory biology course. Gave two presentations and led one workshop.
  5. UNL School of Biological Sciences Undergraduate Research Symposium. April 11, 2019. Co-organized the inaugural student poster event with the SBS Undergraduate Affairs Committee.
  6. NABT Introductory Biology Task Force Workshops at the NABT National Professional Development Conferences. 2015-2019. Organized the annual 3-hour professional development workshop for approximately 50 biology faculty per year.
