The School of Global Integrative Studies (SGIS) and the School of Biological Sciences (SBS) have transformed a long-forgotten University of Nebraska property into our newest "campus” for course offerings, Reller Prairie Field Station (RPFS). Think Cedar Point Biological Station (CPBS) without the residential component and about 30 minutes away from campus.

On Monday, October 17, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) advising team, Explore Center, Career Services, and Academic Navigators had a tour and discussion with the director of SGIS, Sophia Perdikaris, about the potential of Reller Prairie as an experiential learning site for students campus-wide.

A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at RPFS Friday, October 21 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. with special guests Chancellor Ronnie Green, Executive Vice Chancellor Katherine Ankerson, and Dean Mark Button. Other participants may include school and unit donors, alumni, Alumni and Friends Advisory Board members, the Office of Global Strategies, and CAS leaders, faculty, and staff.
